I was displeased about what had happened in my application with Metrobank. So I’ve tried another bank – the BDO.
This time, I’ve applied it through online since this bank has provided already
an online application in their official website.

In their official website you will be given card choices, to what
category of card would you have preferred to apply (it has already the table of rates and interest after you’ve selected
any of those). I’ve chose the Classic Visa Card color Blue. After the selection
of card, you will be prompted to their application form. Then, fill in all the necessary information
needed. After that, you can preview the form, already with the information
you’ve been supplied. Then, you can proceed to the submission of that
application.
In my application, I think for almost two weeks they’ve called me and asked
to submit for the requirements – same with the other bank these are the valid
ID’s and the proof of income. They had given me visacardsales@yahoo.com as the
recipient. My bad, since I was not prepared with the scanned documents, I just took
a picture and attached this in my email (which
seems this is not the right way). That was my thinking then, and just
feeling comfortable since they haven’t told to submit for another. Some of my office mates told me that it is impossible to be approved if you will apply
online. However, my thought was that, why they had provided that easy and fast
application just in front of your computer with an internet, without visiting
to any of their branches; if there is no chance for an approved application.
One thing that pleased me with their service is that, I have known the
result by myself without any effort of calling to their hotline. This is the only
bank where you can view your status application online unlike from the other
banks that you are going to call their hotline just to follow up or inquire for
your credit card application status.
In viewing your credit card application status in Banco De Oro, you
can visit to their website. You will be asked to enter your TIN number and SSS
number. Recalling my application, upon the submission of the required
documents, I’ve checked their website after a week or two. If it is still on
processed, it is being labeled their “pending”. And, if it has already the
result, it will be labeled their “declined”. For the approved credit card, if
you happened to apply online maybe the card will just be delivered to where you
want it to. This is what most likely done by several banks. I don’t have an
idea if they will call you back for the confirmation with regards to card
delivery since my application again has been declined (for a second time).
I've been declined too... My first ever cc application... Considering I have peso/dollar/checking account with BDO. I think it's the credit card company call to decline an application and not really the bank. Oh well...

DeleteI applied online before (bdo) and was denied this was way back Jan'18. Last june, i again went back online to apply. After 21 banking days i checked online that status of my application and it was still "pending" thinking that it might be declined again i didnt bother checking but yesterday i got an email from BDO that my gold visa card + shopmore card has been approved and to my cards to be delivery in 10-15 banking days on my nominated address of delivery.

It took more than 21 banking days (more than 1 month) for me to get the results. Also I wasn't expecting it since they have already declined my application less than 6 month before for an ordinary (classic blue) cc.
Nag apply pp ako sa moa. Then pinasubmit po ako ng mga requirements. As of now d ko alam if approved ba or decline

DeleteI have a bdo checking account for 3 yrs pero di bababa ng 20k laman nya (consistent). 3x ako nag apply at nadeny pero on my 4th try binigyan ako ng Gold Credit Card at Forever21 card. Ung application umabot ng more than 1 month tapos another 2 weeks para madeliver ung card

They told me to expect a call this week again... but Friday is nearing... I wish they could be more transparent so I can know if I should apply elsewhere... :/

I tried to ckeck my status online however records unknown,I call their call centee and the representative told me that it will take 2 to 3 weeks to encode the data I filled up online. Nakaka higit 20 na follow ups na ako puro three banking days ang pangako...sana naman eh sagotin nalang ako kung declined at ng hindi na ako mangulet..sa ibang banko ako mag aapply at mag open ng savings bank...may bank account ako sa bdo at remmitance ang source of income ko... ReplyDeleteDownload ka ng BDO DEALS na app sa Google Play (for andriod) or sa App Store (for ios) dun ka magcheck ng application status. My application took more than 21 banking days akala ko nga declined na kasi nadecline na ko last Jan'18 pero approved nako this time.

After 21 banking days when i checked the status of my application "pending" pa sha. I called bdo hotline sabi VR approved tapos kumausap din ako ng customer service sabi nga nya approved.
I guess iba iba talaga process nila kasi lagpas ng 21 banking days bago ko nalaman na approved ako.---E

ReplyDeleteNung nagdeposit ako sa BDO, the teller asked me kung may cc na daw ako. Sabi ko wala pa. Gusto ko daw ba mag apply, sabi ko wala akong dalang requirements since deposit lang naman talaga transaction ko that dat. Sabi nya, no need na daw kasi may record daw ako sa kanila. So she just asked me to sign the application form then kinuha nya yung name ng skul kung san ako graduate. Then sabi sya, ok na daw yun and sya na magpprocess. It's been 30wks already. Now, I tried to check my status sa website nila but no records found. I wonder ano kaya nangyari? Does anyone have similar experience?

DeleteI applied june 4 2019. Done with the initial phone screeining. 2nd numerous inbound call with the different agent's name then. pina listen ako about the terms and condition. T'was confirmed by the agent all supporting documents are recieved on there end and ready for encoding nalang. Then i was advised to wait 21 Banking days. and cc will be deliver on the billing address kung saan ko na fill out yung form.

DeleteI was approved for Shopmore. End week of May ako nagapply and i received a txt and email saying that i was approved on the 1st week of July. Mejo matagal lang ung hintayan ng card kasi wait daw until end of July pero in transit naman na daw. Kung marecive ung cc as per the said date, more or less 2 months ung inabot ng application to approval ko.

Ininterview nya ko about sa work, annual income, etc. Then tumawag ulit sya kinabukasan to inform me na nareceived na nila payslip ko. After a week, naka received naman ako ng text from BDO confirming yung application ko with the reference number on it. Pero upon checking sa site nila, cancelled yung nakalagay na status. I'm just thinking, bakit cancelled instead of declined or approved yung makita ko? 😅 And sorry if this too personal, may I ask how much annual income na pinakita mo sakanila? kahit estimation lang. hehe. Yung sakin kasi nasa 200k+ naman annual income, so not sure if pasado ba yung sa requirements nila or not. Thank youuu

ReplyDeleteIn my case, Ist status was Cancelled, then i tried to call the hotline and the csr told me that the status is same as declined. Then after 2 days I received an sms that they received my application and is now on process, the next day I receive a call (CI) then I check the status online and it has a new Ref Code, and is Pending. Today i check again and the status is unknown, call the hotline and the csr said it is now on process and I need to wait 10 to 15 days.

ReplyDeletei applied for the visa classic cc online. after 3 days i got a call from one of their agents for the verification of my information. Also, on the same call, the agent read the T&C and I agreed to it of course. However, eveytime i check the status thru their website it says 'no records found'. 21 days is really too long for us to know the status of our application. BDO should really have to step up their game.

DeleteSame here I applied before and got a text na declined daw. Then applied again this yr 2021, sinearch ko ang status using my SSS number, nakalagay Cancelled. Pero di declined, ano meaning nun?
ReplyDeleteSame thing, the CSR even asked me to listen to their terms and condition. Its been awhile pero wala parin. In all fairness to BDO, they're the only bank who calls to verify and reconfirm application details.
